<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item # <br /> <br />1+3 <br /> <br />Meeting Date 6/19/06 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments - Public Health Authority (Cabarrus Health Alliance Board) <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />The terms of appointment for "public members" Wanda J. Douglas, Dr. Jonathan <br />Zsambeky and Charles C. Phillips end June 30. The Cabarrus Health Alliance Board has <br />nominated Jessica Castrodale to fill the position held by Wanda Douglas and has <br />recommended the reappointment of Dr. Zsambeky who is completing his first 3-year term. <br />In addition, the Health Alliance Board has recommended the reappointment of Charles <br />Phillips who has served since 1996. An exception was made to the County's Appointment <br />Policy in 2003 for the reappointment of Mr. Phillips at that time. (see attached letters) <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Consider the appointment of Jessica Castrodale and the reappointment of Dr. Jonathan <br />Zsambeky for terms of 3 years ending June 30, 2009.
