<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 9/25/06 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # F - /3 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Former Bethel Elementary School Property - YCH Contract <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />On July 10, 2006, the Board of Commissioners accepted a proposal ($55,000) from YCH <br />Architects to provide "Schematic Design Services" to identify potential uses, floor plans <br />and costs for the former Bethel Elementary School. in conjunction with approving the YCH <br />proposal, the BOC accepted the contribution of $8,250 from Town of Midland and <br />authorized a budget amendment to appropriate the remainder of the funds ($46,750) from <br />the contingency fund. In preparing the final contact, YCH included an additional $3,000 to <br />cover reimbursables that was not noted in the original proposal. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (SIIr/fI8SI8d motion If the Board 8pp1'OVetl the agenda item ll$ presented) <br /> <br />1. Approve the additional "up to $3,000" to cover any reimbursables that might occur <br />during the life of the contract. <br />2. Approve the associated bUdget amendment to provide the additional funding including <br />the Town of Midland share of $8,250. <br />3.
