Easley, Governor <br /> <br />Robert Lee Guy, Director <br /> <br />September 25, 2006 <br /> <br />John Day, County Manager <br />Cabarrus County <br />65 Church Street <br />Concord, NC 28025 <br /> <br />Re: Cabarrus County Criminal Justice Partnership Program <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Day, <br /> <br />Please be advised that at the July 21, 2006 meeting of the Cabarrus County Criminal Justice <br />Advisory Board, the board approved for submission to the County Commissioners the following list <br />of candidates for membership: <br /> <br />Paul Holcomb, designee for the Cabarrus County District Attorney <br />Lori Ruff, business member at large <br />Lynn Vaccarella, Mental Health at large <br /> <br />After voting to submit these names, it came to the board's attention that one of the candidates, Lynn <br />Vaccarella, is not a resident of Cabarrus County. We were advised that we could request that the <br />County Commissioners approve her for ex-officio membership on the board. At a meeting of the <br />advisory board held this date, it was voted unanimously to make this request of the Commissioners. <br />Ms. Vaccarella is an invaluable member of our mental health community in Cabarrus County and is <br />a supervisor at Daymark Recovery Services, Inc. She would be an asset to the advisory board. <br /> <br />We respectfully request the County Commissioners adopt the recommendations of the Cabarrus <br />County Criminal Justice Partnership Advisory Board.
