<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 10/30/06 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # ~ - \ ~ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Lease Purchase Agreement between United Financial of North Carolina, Inc. and Jackson <br />Park Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. to Purchase a Pumper Truck <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Jackson Park Volunteer Fire Department is entering into a Lease Purchase Agreement <br />with United Financial of North Carolina, Inc. United Financial requests the Board confirm <br />that Jackson Park Volunteer Fire Department is a qualified volunteer fire department to <br />protect a speCific fire district within this County and receives fire tax assessed on the real <br />property owners of their assigned fire protection district; and, that these funds are to be <br />used exclusively to provide equipment, facilities, training and upgrade equipment as the <br />need arises in order to provide fire protection to their district. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (SUfltlested motion if the Board aPPfOves the agenda item as presented) <br />Authorize the Chairman to execute a letter to United Financial of North Carolina <br />concerning the lease purchase agreement between Jackson Park VFD and United <br />Financial for a pumper truck. <br /> <br />Attachments ~ Yes 0 No Expected Length of Presentation <br />Submitted By: Robert S.
