<br />Resolution No. 2006-_ <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE <br />REGULAR MEETING SCHEDULE <br /> <br />FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2007 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the regular agenda work sessions of the Cabarrus <br />County Board of Commissioners are currently held on the first Monday <br />of each month at 3:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the <br />Governmental Center; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the regular meetings of the Board of <br />Commissioners are held on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. <br />in the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Governmental Center; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, several holidays and scheduled conferences of the National Association of County <br />Commissioners require a change in a number of the agenda work session dates as well as the January <br />2007 regular meeting date; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 153A-26 requires that the Board hold an <br />organizational meeting on the first Monday of December for each even-numbered year. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners, <br />pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40(a), does hereby: <br /> <br />(1) Establish the Board's regular agenda work session schedule to meet at 3:30 p.m. in the <br />Multipurpose Room at the Governmental Center on the following dates: <br /> <br />January 8, 2007 <br />February 5, 2007 <br />March 12, 2007 <br />April 2, 2007 <br />May 7,2007 <br />June 4, 2007 <br /> <br />July 2, 2007 <br />August6,2007 <br />September 10, 2007 <br />October 1, 2007 <br />November 5, 2007 <br />December 3, 2007 <br /> <br />(2) Establish the Board's regular meeting schedule to meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioner's <br />Meeting Room at the Governmental Center on the following dates: <br /> <br />January 22, 2007 <br />February 19, 2007 <br />March 26, 2007 <br />April 16, 2007 <br />May 21,2007 <br />June 18, 2007 <br /> <br />July 23, 2007 <br />August 20, 2007 <br />September 17, 2007 <br />October 15, 2007 <br />November 19, 2007 <br />December 17, 2007 <br /> <br />(3) Set the organizational meeting on Monday, December 3, 2007, in the Commissioners' <br />Meeting Room (time to be determined); and <br /> <br />(4) Resolve that any recessed, special or emergency meeting will be held as needed with proper <br />notice as required by North Carolina General Statute 153A-40. <br /> <br />(5) Establish the Board's budget meeting schedule for 2007 as follows: <br /> <br />~-\to <br />
