Slivensky and Mr. Ric Starnes. Attending from <br />the Planning and Zoning Division were Mr. Rodger Lentz, Planning and Zoning <br />Manager, Ms. Nicole Storey, Senior Planner, Ms. Kassie Goodson, Planner and <br />Ms. Phyllis C. Carr. Also attending was Mr. Richard Koch, Attorney for the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />There being no corrections to the January 20, 2005 Minutes, Mr. Starnes <br />MOTIONE.D to approve the minutes as m.~jJ~9(Se~~ed by Ms. Burns. Applicant: Parker and Orleans Homebuilders <br />Request: Praliminary Subdivision Plat Approval <br /> <br />This !was a request to [the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission <br />from Parker and Orlean~ Homebuiiders to have their preliminary subdivision plat <br />Wellington Chase approj.ted. <br /> <br />Ms. Nicole Storey, Senior Planner addressed the Board presenting Petition C05- <br />06(S) and staff report stating in the packets is a memo from Mr. Robert Kluttz of <br />the Cabarrus County scrools system stating that the schools being planned for <br />the west side of the coLtnty are for projected growth from already approved lots, <br />not new subdivisions. trhe opening of these schools is two or three years out <br />depending on land acq~isitlon and construction schedules. In any event it is <br />obvious that we will ~e operating in extremely overcrowded conditions for <br />several years. <br /> <br />Ms. Storey said staff finds that the proposed development meets all of the <br />requirements of the Ca~arrus County Zoning and Subdivision ordinance.
