<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 4/18/05 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # (b - 5 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Application by the Mental Health Association to the US Department for Housing and Urban <br />Development for Funding Support for Scattered Site Housing for Persons with Mental <br />Illness <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />There is a need for additional available housing for persons with mental illness. To help <br />address this need, the Mental Health Association of Central Carolinas is preparing its <br />annual application to HUD. This year the Association is making application for scattered <br />sites (condominiums) that will enhance the array of available housing.
