This project, planned for
completion prior to December, 2005, will provide 175' of full left turn storage northbound
Odell School Road and 250' of full left turn storage southbound Odell School Road and will
modify the traffic signal to accommodate left turn movements.
Additional improvements are planned for NC 73 as a requirement of Villages @ Moss Creek
Development. Those improvements will occur with approval of the development's phase(s)
that will access Odell School Road.

After having reviewed the proposed plan for Wellington Chase with Mr. David Naylor, PE,
Deputy Division Traffic Engineer, the developer. will be responsible for the construction
of a left turn lane and right turn lane on NC 73 as well as a left turn lane on Odell
School Road. NCDOT staff is satisified that no further improvements to the intersection
of NC 73 and Odell School Road will be needed as a result of the traffic generated by this
development.

If additional information is required, please advise.

Thanks, Leah

E-\

1
