<br />PROPOSED GOALS BY CHAIRMAN CARPENTER <br /> <br />FOR THE REMAINDER OF CALENDAR YEAR 200S <br /> <br />1. Formulate and implement a grant program to assist seniors, fixed-income property <br />taxpayers in Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />2. Work to update the adequate public facilities ordinance as discussed at the last agenda <br />work session. Items to be considered include roads, schools and emergency services <br />adequacies. This is to be tied in with the end ofthe moratorium. <br /> <br />3. Resolve water issue with the City of Concord. <br /> <br />4. Formulate long-range school funding plan. <br /> <br />5. Keep the jail proj ect on track. <br /> <br />6. Successfully complete the transition with the management company for the Arena and <br />Events Center. <br /> <br />7. Resolve the permanent county attorney position and the staff attorney position. <br /> <br />8. Restore and maintain the County's fiscal integrity and take appropriate steps to keep or <br />improve the current bond rating. <br /> <br />9.
