<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 4/18/05 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # <br /> <br />F-9 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Amend Kannaplis Library Budget to include Cannon Trust Grant Funds <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />The Library recently received a grant form the Cannon Charitable Trusts for the purpose of <br />purchasing desktop computers for the Kannapolis Library. These computers will replace <br />obsolete dumb terminals used by the public to access the library catalog and by staff to <br />conduct daily circulation activities. This project is supported by the ITS Department. The <br />purpose of this request is to amend the current (FY05) Kannapolis Library budget to <br />include a portion of these funds and to expend that portion in the current fiscal year. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br /> <br />Move to amend Kannpolis Library Budget for FY05 to include portion of grant funds <br />received from the Charles A.
