<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item # ~ <br /> <br />Meeting Date 5/23/05 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Industrial Incentive Grant for Golden Gait Trailers - Public Hearing - 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Pursuant to the Industrial Development Grant Program guidelines effective January 1, <br />2004, Golden Gait Trailers, a customized trailer manufacturing company, has requested <br />an incentive grant to locate at Highway 73 and 1-85 . The estimated investment is $3 <br />million ($2 million real estate; $1 million machinery & equipment) and 100 new jobs are <br />planned. <br />The company is eligible for a small corporate headquarters grant. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Conduct public hearing to consider the incentive grant.
