<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item # F-,3 <br /> <br />Meeting Date 5/23/05 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />NC 73 Corridor Study - Memorandum of Understanding and Appointment of Elected <br />Official to sit on the Council of Planning. <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Several months ago, the County adopted an MOU with all of the local governments <br />involved in the NC 73 Corridor Study. That MOU was forwarded to NCDOT for their <br />approval. State officials requested additional changes to the document. Attached is the <br />final version of the MOU. Planning staff recommends its approval. <br /> <br />The MOU includes the creation of a Council of Planning (COP) to maintain the NC 73 <br />Plan.
