<br />2. General Fund appropriations shall be used to support the operation of the <br />revenue producing special facilities at such times that cash flow from <br />revenue is inadequate to maintain that facility to the high standard of <br />servIce necessary. <br /> <br />VI. SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR FEES AND CHARGES VARIANCES <br /> <br />A. Cabarrus County Senior Citizens Groups over the age of fifty-five (55), may use <br />park facilities that are open at no cost Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. <br /> <br />B. Cabarrus County Funded Agencies shall be granted special consideration in the <br />form of free use of park facilities Monday thnt Friday 8 am until 4 pm. Any <br />direct costs incurred, i.e., heating, air-conditioning, and/or manpower will be <br />passed on to the agency. This special consideration shall not include miniature <br />golf, paddleboats or concessions. A Cabarrus County funded agency shall be any <br />agency whose employees are paid by Cabarrus County Government. <br /> <br />C. Stonewall Jackson School students shall be permitted access to Frank Liske Park <br />during the times when the park is normally accessible to the public and at other <br />times upon securing permission in advance. <br /> <br />D. Corporate Sponsors, or Friends of the Park Group, approved by the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission will be permitted to utilize one park facility per year free <br />of charge. <br /> <br />E. Special Interest Groups or Individuals shall be granted no special consideration in <br />the form of reduced rates or free services with the exception ofthose groups who <br />are co-sponsoring with the Department. <br /> <br />F. Proprietary or Commercial groups shall not be permitted to use park facilities for <br />financial gain or profit. These facilities are designed to serve the general public <br />on a non-profit basis. The exclusive use of facilities for profit purposes is <br />inconsistent with the Department's basic philosophy and revenue goals. <br /> <br />G. Non-Residents shall pay an additional non-resident fee for participating in most <br />programs and the rental of facilities. Many non-residents use Cabarrus County <br />Services but make no tax contribution to help support the operations. The non- <br />resident fees are outlined in the annual fee schedule. <br /> <br />F- i" <br /> <br />8 <br />
