Baker, <br /> <br />As you are aware, North Carolina is beginning the process to create the NC FAST Case Management System. <br />This system is to provide a single, coordinated effort in assessing and meeting the needs of families by <br />eliminating time wasting, value robbing tasks for workers. It is crucial that county departments of social <br />service staff participate in the design, testing, and implementation of this system. <br /> <br />Ken Maddox invited me to attend a orientation session.in Raleigh last week, and I realized what a wonderful <br />tool this will be for DSS agencies to utilize. He has selected me to participate in the approximately two year <br />project, and I am requesting permission from you to be a part of this exciting avenue. The begin date will be <br />July 1, 2005, and he will send the contract to our tiscal agent explaining the plan to re-imburse the county for <br />my salary, and benetits to include a ten percent pay increase.
