<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item # e,. - ~ <br /> <br />Meeting Date 7/14/05 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Reappointment of the Cabarrus County Tax Administrator <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Brent Weisner was appointed Tax Administrator by the Board of County Commissioners <br />on July 23, 2003 to complete the unexpired term of Dawn McHale. This initial appointment <br />ends on August 8, 2005. NCGS 105-294 provides for reappointment of the county <br />assessor to a term of not less than two or more than four years. NCGS 105-349 provides <br />for concurrent appointment of a tax collector. Mr. Weisner meets the requirements of this <br />position and is recommended for a four year appointment. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br /> <br />Reappoint Jeffery Brent Weisner to a four year term as county assessor and tax collector <br />for Cabarrus County for the period of August 9, 2005 through August 8, 2009.
