It has 550 species filling 17 major habitats, 31 focus ex- <br />hibits, and takes visitors on a journey throughout the Pacific Ocean's <br />three regions: Southern California/Baja; the Tropical Pacific and the <br />Northern Pacific. <br /> <br />Feeding the hundreds of fish and mammals housed at the aquarium is a <br />huge undertaking, as is feeding the 1 million visitors that visit the <br />aquarium each year. The latter has been achieved by SMG's Food and <br />Beverage Services through Cafe Scuba, the Aquarium of the Pacific's <br />fu II-service eatery. <br /> <br />Cafe Scuba is managed by S M G Food and Beverage and is housed <br />within the Aquarium Shark Exhibit. The Cafe has become an extension <br />of the exhibit and it's decor and overall retail concept are in perfect co- <br />hesion with the exhibit theme. <br /> <br /> <br />Since Cafe Scuba's opening, the location has increased customer spending by 51 % and enhanced the <br />patron's overall experience. The seating is shaped in a <br />comfortable continentai style. There are spaces for wheelchair seating. <br />The Terrace Lobby contains a full glass front with a view of the Ter- <br />race fountain.There is an ocean view on the East side of the facility <br />and a downtown cityscape view from the front of the theater. <br /> <br /> <br />The venue plays host to numerous food and beverage functions from <br />pre-event cocktail receptions to exquisite black-tie diners.
