Accreditation plaques were <br />formally presented by the North Carolina Local Public Health Accreditation Board to the <br />CHA Board at their June 21, 2005 meeting. <br /> <br />Attendees will be: <br />William. F. Pilkington, DPA, CEO, Public Health Director Charles C. Phillips, Chairman, <br />Cabarrus Health Alliance Board <br /> <br />Background information is as follows: <br /> <br />Excerpt from June 21, 2005 CHA Board Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />PRESENTATION OF ACCREDITATION PLAQUE <br /> <br />John Graham, Deputy Director, Institute for Public Health, part of the ONC School of <br />Public Health, introduced Dr. Rick Mumford, Senior Assistant to Leah Devlin, State Public <br />Health Director, and Craig Michalak, Senior Administrator for Accreditation Program, <br />Institute for Public Health presented an accreditation plaque to Mr. Charles Phillips in <br />recognition of Cabarrus Health Alliance being one of six accredited health departments in <br />North Carolina. <br /> <br />Following the recognition and presentation. Mrs. Carolyn Carpenter, eRA Board Member, <br />requested that CHA be recognized at the next Cabarrus Co. <br />Board of Commissioners meeting for achieving Public Health Accreditation. <br /> <br />This is a follow-up to her request. <br /> <br />Please contact me if you need additional information. <br /> <br />Also, update on our Board vacancy. We are still waiting on word from NorthEast Medical on <br />a physician replacement, representing the NEMC Physician's staff. Chairman Charles <br />Phillips has contacted Dr. Kataja again today.
