Little, Director <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department <br /> <br />Subject: <br /> <br />Project Agreement/Budget Amendment for Federal LWCF for Pharr Mill <br />Road Park (Phase II) <br /> <br />On January 26, 2004, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners authorized the <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department to formally submit a matching <br />$250,000 Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant request to construct an <br />undeveloped 37-acre site on Pharr Mill Road. With Cabarrus County's matching share. <br />of $250,000 and the Federal LWCF Grant of $250,000, the total of $500,000 will <br />construct Phase II at Pharr Mill Road Park and it will include the following: <br /> <br />. Playground <br />. Pond Improvements <br />. Walking/Biking Trails <br />. Boardwalk <br />. Volleyball Courts <br />. Picnic Shelters <br />. Picnic Sites <br />. Landscaping/Signage <br />. Roadway and parking areas <br /> <br />On August 3, 2004, the State of North Carolina Governor Michael Easley announced <br />the awarding of this matching reimbursable grant of $250,000.
