<br />Cabarrus County <br />Law Enforcement Center <br />Contract Amendment #3 <br /> <br />Exhibit A <br /> <br />Scope of Work: <br />Design a new Jail Annex building to be constructed in advance of the LEC on a site <br />adjoining the LEC. The Annex will be connected to the LEC via a corridor that will be <br />built as part of the LEC construction. The tunnel connector to the courthouse will be <br />constructed with the Annex instead of with the LEC as originally planned. Additional <br />work shall include the following: <br />. Demolition of existing buildings at Annex site <br />. Site preparation and development at Annex site <br />. New Jail Annex Building <br />. Connecting corridor to LEC <br />. Modifications to LEC Housing building design to reduce the number of cells <br />Work associated with Hazardous material removal is not included. <br /> <br />Program: <br />Provide approximately 21,000 gsf for one 48-cell housing unit with support space. Cells <br />and dayrooms shall be sized and equipped for double bunking. The Annex building shall <br />be operational while the LEC is under construction.
