Attached are the recommended amendments for <br />your review and approval. The proposed amendment would accomplish the following: <br /> <br />1. Billboard signs would no longer be permitted in our planning jurisdiction <br /> <br />2. Provide ciarification and more specific guidelines for various types of temporary off-premise <br />signs. This type of sign would only be pennitted for <br /> <br />. Construction of Planned Developments, Real Estate Sales, Auctions, Special <br />Events for nonprofit and noncommercial activities, garage/yard sales, and <br />elections. <br /> <br />3. Penn it small pennanent directional signs for nonprofit organizations. <br /> <br />4. Update and modemizethe County sign table. The tables, as proposed, would bring the <br />County's standards in line with each of the County's five municipalities. <br /> <br />Identicai changes are being review in Midland and have received the recommendation of their planning <br />board <br /> <br />If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Robbie Foxx, Chris Moore or I.
