<br />STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />WAKE COUNTY <br /> <br />BEFORE THE STATE BOARD OF ELECTIONS <br /> <br />IN THE MATTER OF DECERTIFICATION <br />OF VOTING SYSTEMS AS ALLOWED BY <br />SESSION LAW 2005-323 (SB 223) <br /> <br />ORDER <br /> <br />THIS MATTER CAME BEFORE THE STATE BOARD OF ELECTIONS on <br />December 1, 2005, for decertification of voting systems for the State of North <br />Carolina. <br /> <br />FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> <br />1. Session Law 2005-323 (Senate Bill 223) states that the State Board may, <br />upon notice and hearing, decertify types, makes, and models of voting systems. <br />Upon decertifying a type, make, or model of voting system, the State Board shall <br />determine the process by which the decertified system is discontinued in any <br />county. <br /> <br />2. The following types, makes and models of voting systems are on record <br />as being certified in North Carolina prior to 9/01/2005: <br /> <br />Tvpe Make Model <br />Optical Scan AirMac MR 210 <br />DRE Advanced Voting Solutions WINvote <br />Punch Card Computer Election Systems Model III <br />DRE Danahar Controls 1242 <br />Optical Scan Diebold Election Svstems AccuVote <br />DRE Diebold Election Svstems R4,R6,TSX <br />Optical Scan ES&S Optech IIIP, M100 <br />Punch Card ES&S PBCIII <br />ORE ES&S Votronic, iVotronic <br />DRE Fidlar EV2000 <br />DRE Hart Intercivic eSlate <br />DRE Microvote 464, Infinity <br />DRE Sequoia Votina Svstems Advantaqe, Edqe <br />Optical Scan Sequoia Voting Systems Optech IIIP <br />DRE Unilect Patriot <br /> <br />3.
