<br />The following GENERAL CONDITIONS are an integral part of and are <br />incorporated by reference in that certain Contract for Construction Manager <br />at Risk between Cabarrus County, North Carolina and Turner Construction <br />Company for the Cabarrus County Jail and Sheriff's Department construction <br />project. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 1 - INTENT AND EXECUTION OF DOCUMENTS <br /> <br />A. The drawings and specifications are complementary, one to the other. That which is <br />shown on the drawings or called for in the specifications shall be as binding as if it were both called <br />for and shown. The intent of the drawings and specifications is to establish the scope of all labor, <br />materials, transportation, equipment, and any and all other things necessary to provide a complete <br />job. In case of discrepancy or disagreement in the Contract Documents, the order of precedence shall <br />be: Form of Contract, specifications, large-scale detail drawings, small-scale drawings. <br /> <br />B. The wording of the specifications shall be interpreted in accordance with common <br />usage ofthe language except that words having a commonly used technical or trade meaning shall be <br />so interpreted in preference to other meanings. <br /> <br />C. All bonds shall be executed by an attorney-in-fact. There shall be attached to each <br />copy of the bond a certified copy of power of attorney properly executed and dated. <br /> <br />D. Each copy of the bonds shall be countersigned by an authorized indiviqual agent of <br />the bonding company licensed to do business in North Carolina. The title "Licensed Resident Agent" <br />shall appear after the signature. <br /> <br />E. <br />bonds. <br /> <br />The seal of the bonding company shall be impressed on each signature page of the <br /> <br />F. The defmitions contained in Article I ofthe contract for Construction Manager at Risk <br />are incorporated in these general conditions as fully as to the same extent as if set forth verbatim <br />herein. <br /> <br />ARTICLE2 - CLARIFICATIONS AND DETAIL DRAWINGS <br /> <br />G. In such cases where the nature of the Work requires clarification by the Architect, <br />such clarification shall be furnished by the Architect with reasonable promptness by means of written <br />instructions or detail drawings, or both, Clarifications and drawings shall be consistent with the <br />intent of Contract Documents, and shall become a part thereof. <br /> <br />EE:00049966. <br /> <br />IIay€ -1- <br /> <br />F-lf <br />
