<br />time set for such inspection or test, if the inspection or test will be conducted by a party other than <br />the Architect. Such special tests or inspections will be made in the presence of the Architect, or his <br />authorized representative, and it shall be the CM' s responsibility to serve ample notice of such tests. <br /> <br />LL. All laboratory tests shall be paid by the Owner unless provided otherwise in the <br />Contract Documents except the CM shall pay for laboratory tests to establish design mix for <br />concrete, and for additional tests to prove compliance with Contract Documents where materials <br />have tested deficient except when the testing laboratory did not follow the appropriate ASTM testing <br />procedures. <br /> <br />MM. Should any Work be covered up or concealed prior to inspection and approval by the <br />Architect, such Work shall be uncovered or exposed for inspection, if so requested by the Architect <br />in writing. Inspection of the Work will be made promptly upon notice from the contractor. All cost <br />involved in uncovering, repairing, replacing, recovering and restoring to design condition, the Work <br />that has been covered or concealed will be paid by the CM. <br /> <br />NN. If any other portion of the Work has been covered which the Architect has not <br />specifically requested to observe prior to being covered, the Architect may request to see such Work <br />and it shall be uncovered by the CM. 1f such Work is in accordance with the Contract Documents, <br />the cost of uncovering and replacement shall, by appropriate change order, be charged to the Owner. <br />If such Work be found not in accordance with the Contract Documents, the CM shall pay such costs. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 13 - CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION AND SCHEDULE <br /> <br />00. Throughout the progress ofthe Work, the CM shall keep at the job site, a competent <br />superintendent or supervisory staff satisfactory to the Architect. The superintendent shall not be <br />changed without the consent of the Architect unless said superintendent ceases to be employed by the <br />CM or ceases to be competent. The superintendent shall have authority to act on behalf of the CM, <br />and instructions, directions or notices given to him shall be as binding as if given to the CM. <br />However, directions, instructions, and notices shall be confirmed in writing. <br /> <br />PP. The CM shall examine and study the drawings and specifications and fully understand <br />the project design, and shall provide constant and efficient supervision to the Work. Should it <br />discover any discrepancies of any sort in the drawings or specifications, it shall report them to the <br />Architect without delay. It will not be held responsible for discrepancies in the drawings and/or <br />specifications, but shall be held responsible to report them should they become known to it. <br /> <br />QQ. The CM shall call and preside over monthly job site progress conferences. All <br />principal trade contractors and specialty contractors shall be represented at these job progress <br />conferences by both home office and project personnel. The CM shall require attendance from other <br />subcontractors and material suppliers who can contribute toward maintaining requiredjob progress. <br />It shall be the principal purpose of these meetings, or conferences, to effect coordination, cooperation <br />and assistance in every practical way toward the end of maintaining progress of the project on <br /> <br />EE:00049966. <br /> <br />-7- <br />[:-4- <br />
