CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 1/26/04 Agenda Item <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appropriate funding for the purchase of computer equipment for the Concord Library via <br />the Cannon Memorial Library Trust Fund. <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The current content server and the information portal server at the library's Concord branch <br />requires replacement. The equipment will reach "end-of-life" status March 31, 2004 and <br />the manufacturer will not extend the service warranty beyond that date. This equipment is <br />critical to the circulation and Internet access functions of the library. Purchase of the <br />replacement equipment will be funded by The Cannon Memorial Library Trust Fund.
