RE[REA TIONAL NEEDS <br />When complete, the Pharr Mill Community Park will provide some much-needed facilities. <br />According to the Livable Cammunity Blueprint for Ceberrus County, jogging/walking trails, <br />picnic areas, end playgraunds were in the top five requested items from the four public <br />warkshops conducted. As determined by the same study a community park at Pharr Mill Road <br />is ranked number 7 in the county, end one in its sub-district for establishment. This park will <br />also fulfill five facility needs within Sub-district 5 of Ceberrus County. <br /> <br /> PRO~RiII~I DESCRIPTION <br />The local government has hired e professional perk-planning firm to assist with the design of <br />the perk. This firm will design et least one of every facility to be assessable to ell citizens of <br />the County. Perking will be provided for 60 cars, including handicapped spaces es required by <br />the County. The main purposes of Pherr Mill Community Perk will be passive recreation end <br />environmental education. <br /> <br /> PHYSICAL NEEDS <br />The overall needs of the park include: <br />· Construction of three buildings: two (2) small picnic shelters and a restroom/vending/picnic <br /> shelter facility <br />· One and one-half miles of accessible trails <br />· Playground <br />· Volleyball courts <br />· Horseshoe pits <br />· Parking for 60 cars <br />· Site furnishings <br />· River overlook <br />· Fishing pier <br />· Dam repair <br />· Utilities <br /> · A new water line will be extended along Pharr Mill Road. <br /> · A sewer line connection will extend from the neighboring Canterfield Estates to the <br /> site. <br /> · These lines along with new electric lines will be added to service the large picnic <br /> sheltedrestroom/vending facility. <br /> <br /> <br />
