PUBLIC INVOI. VEMENT <br />In addition to the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department, a separate advisory <br />committee was established for the guidance and review of the master plan for Pharr Mill <br />Community Park. The advisory committee is comprised of: John Day, Steve Little, Joan <br />Swaringen, Londa Strong, Randy Daniels, Janet Magaldi, Mary Wiktorek, Rodger Lentz, Mike <br />Downs, Marie and Janet Morrison, as well as Jon Wood and Tonya Swartzendruber of <br />HadenStanziale, a park planning firm. After a review of initial concepts for the park, the <br />committee narrowed three schemes down to one on and a public meeting date was <br />established. The committee solicited input from and presented the park concept to their <br />respective organizations. A public workshop was held on January 21, 2003 at Rocky River <br />Presbyterian Church. In addition, a public meeting was held on January 8, 2004 at Rocky <br />River Presbyterian Church, to present the concept plan and solicit more input through public <br />commentary. The committee met on January 21,2004 to approve the final site plan. The final <br />concept plan was then presented to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee and the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners for adoption January 26, 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />
