The Board of Commissioners, on October 20, 1997, designated authority <br />to the Deputy County Manager and Finance Director to compromise or <br />forgive, for good cause shown, late payment penalties for the <br />Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax up to a maximum amount of $400.00. <br /> <br />Requested Motion: That the October 20, 1997 action of the Board of <br />Commissioners be amended as follows: The County shall, for good cause <br />shown, review requests by the affected taxpayer for waiver of late <br />payment penalties for Hotel/Motel Occupancy taxes for the first late <br />payment offense. The County Finance Director and Deputy County Manager <br />shall have authority, for good cause shown, to compromise or forgive <br />these late payment penalties up to a maximum amount of $1,000. No <br />requests for waivers of subsequent offenses by the same taxpayer will <br />be considered <br /> <br /> <br />
