e) For developments with more than 20 required trees a minimum of two tree species shall <br /> be used to prevent loss fi.om disease. <br /> <br />Developments within a Thoroughfare Overlay Zone or that develop under the Customized <br />Development option will provide landscaping along existing streets in accordance with those <br />sections of the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />B) CHAPTER SIX: GENERAL REQUIREMENTS/EXCEPTIONS AND <br />MODIFICATIONS. <br /> <br />1) Renumber section 6-13 to section 6-14 <br /> <br />2) Add new section 6-13 as follows: <br /> <br />Non-residential development shall be required to meet the sidewalk standards in the General <br />Industrial, Limited Industrial, General Commercial and Limited Commercial Zoning <br />Districts. Sidewalks in non-residential areas shall be required in the following locations: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br /> <br />On one side of all public streets directly adjacent to the developed site; <br />On both sides of all inter/or public streets within the development; <br />Within the development to link buildings with the following: <br />i) Parking <br />ii) Adjoining streets <br />iii) Adjoining sidewalks <br />iv) Adjoining developments or amenities where appropriate pedestrian connections <br /> should be reasonably accomplished <br /> <br />A waiver fi.om the sidewalk requirements may be granted by the Zoning Administrator where <br />the installation would not be reasonably tied to an existing or planned pedestrian network. <br />The decision of the administrator may be appealed to the Planning & Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Robert M.
