Resolution No. 2004- <br /> <br />STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA ) <br /> ) <br />CABARRUS COUNTY ) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Cabarms County has one (1) 2001 Ford F-350 Truck, vehicle <br />identification number 1FDSW35F71EA81116; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Board desires to dispose of the above referenced equipment; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 160A, Article 12 sets forth procedures <br />and requirements for counties selling and disposing of property. Procedures include private <br />negotiation and sale, sale by sealed bids, auction, upset bids and exchanges; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 160A-279 provides that any <br />governmental unit may convey personal property to any other entity carrying out a public <br />purpose, with or without compensation. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of <br />Cabarrus County as follows: <br /> <br /> That in accordance with the provisions of General Statute 160A-267, this Board <br />authorizes the County Purchasing Agent to dispose of the above referenced personal property <br />no earlier than ten (10) days after a notice summarizing the contents of the resolution is <br />published once. Also, pursuant to General Statute 160A-279, the aforementioned personal <br />property may be conveyed to the Cabarms Rescue Squad upon receipt of compensation in the <br />amount of $22,000. <br /> <br />Adopted this 17th day of May 2004. <br /> <br />ATTESTED BY: <br /> <br />ROBERT M.
