Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes <br />March 18, 2004 <br /> <br />Page 25 <br /> <br />There being no further comments Mr. Moore MOT]:ONED, seconded <br />by Mr. Griffin to approve Conditional Use Application 70 C. <br /> <br />The Chair said for the record he would like to thank Mr. Rawson for <br />submitting an extremely good set of plans. <br /> <br />The vote was unanimous. <br />Conditional Use Application 70 C Approved <br /> <br />The Chair said before the next item on the agenda he think it <br />would be a good idea to have staff and our legal council put <br />together some type of document for people who make inquiries as <br />to varies planning functions that we can send to those people so <br />they will know what to expect when they come to these meetings. <br />He said this document will make the public more knowledgeable. <br /> <br />Mr. Lentz said the first eleven brochures that staff has been <br />working on covers a range of topics. He said that one was not <br />included in the first batch, but it will be in the second batch of <br />brochures. Mr. Lentz said that one will be a copy of the one that <br />was put together by the North Carolina APA. <br /> <br />The Chair introduced the fourth item on the Agenda, Petition C0,~-02(ZT): <br /> <br />Applicant: Cabarrus County Planning Department <br />Request: Zoning Text Amendment <br /> <br />Mr.'Rodger Lentz, Planning and Zoning Manager addressed the <br />Board stating, this was handed out at the last board meeting. This <br />refers back to that contractor that the Board inquired about several <br />months ago for telecommunications. He said the Board of <br />Commissioners approved the contract, the contract has been <br />signed and now they have gone to work on the ordinance. Mr. <br />Lentz said he has had a few phone conferences with the <br />gentleman, Rusty Monroe. Mr. Monroe has made some changes <br />and this is in front of the Board tonight. He said he asked the <br />Board to look over this the last time and they would need to make <br />some kind of recommendation to send on to the County <br />Commissioners.
