Cabarrus County Public Transportation <br /> James W. Sasser, Director <br /> <br />Services <br /> <br />DRAFT <br /> <br />TRANSPORTATION SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT ("Agreement") is made and entered into by and between the Kannapolis/Concord Bus System (Rider) <br />and CABARRUS COUNTY TRANSPORT SERVICE ("CCTS"). <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Rider System destres to secure ADA transportatton services from CCTS, as outlined by the Americans Wah <br />Dtsabfltttes Act as a service mandated by the Rtder System and CCTS desires to furnish such services in accordance with the terms and <br />condmons of this Agreement. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, tn consideration of the foregoing premises and other good and valuable cons~derauon, the recetpt and <br />suffimency of whmh are hereby acknowledged, the undersigned parties agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. TERM. The term of th~s Agreement shall be for a period of (1) one year beginning July 1,2004 ("Effective Date"). <br />Thereafter, this Agreement may be extended for addmonal one-year terms by written agreement s~gned by the parties. <br /> <br /> 2. SCOPE OF SERVICES. CCTS shall prowde transportation for the ADA clients of the Rider.System who have <br />been approved and authorized for the service as outlined under Federal ADA Paratransa Ehgibility guidelines to access services as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> (a) Round mp transportatton shall be provided on a schedule that is comparable to the service hours and <br /> parameters of the Rader System in hours and days of operation. <br /> <br /> (b.) CCTS Dial-A-Ride Call Center shall be responsible for authorizing service and certification of the <br /> ehgibfl~ty of the Rider paratransit apphcant. Reservations will require a 24 hour advance noUce to schedule <br /> a trip space. <br /> <br /> (c.) Door to door services shall be provided for ambulatory, wheel-chair; and geri-chair ADA Rider clients on <br /> all routes and will extend the required 3/4 rmle radius &the "fixed" Rider schedule routes. <br /> <br />(d) CCTS shall provide all vehicles necessary for the safe transportation of ADA Rider clients. <br /> <br /> 3. PAYMENT FOR SERVICES. The Rider System agrees to pay CC'TS for transportation servxces provided <br />hereunder tn accordance with Exhibit A. Fees shall not change without the mutual consent of the Rider System and CCTS. <br /> <br /> 4. TERMINATION. This Agreement may be terminated by e~ther party at any time without cause upon tlurty (30) <br />days' prior written notice. In addition, the Rider System may terminate this Agreement at any time upon the material breach of this <br />Agreement by CCTS.
