Please note that the agreement to accept and treat any new sanitary <br />sewer discharges (a permk requirement) are two-fold; one being acceptance by the City of <br />Concord and the other being acceptance and treatment by the Water and Sewer Authority <br />of Cabarrus County (WSACC). WSACC is an entirely separate entity from the City of <br />Concord over which we have no direct odmi~i.~a-ative or operational controL <br /> <br />Our policy does state that the City of Concord will be responsible for tbe day to day <br />mainte--ncc operations of its public water and sewer systems, evaluations of needs and <br />improvements to the systems, and thc funding of approved projects to the benefit of the <br />citizens of the City of Concord and thc customers of thc City of Concord Water and Sewer <br />systems. Developments / projects will be allowed to make co,m~tion to its water and <br />sewer infrastructure and public service will bo provided to such as long as such and any <br />su~cqucnt water and sewer extensions are approved and permitted in accordance with <br />Concord Rcgionsl Water Resources Water and Sewer Policy, City of Concord Ordinar~s <br />and Council Actiom in effect at tlm time of serv/ce application, and all applicable fees are <br />paid in full Any connections for extensions or upgrades at existing points of service for <br />your interest (and other interests in the area) will be m~de on a "first cbme- first serve" <br />basis. <br /> <br />Pica.se be aware that if City of Concord water or sewer is requested to serve a <br />development, thc development will be required to submit a voluntary a..exation petition <br />and may be annexed into the city l~roits of Concord. Also, the Concord City Council <br />recently approved the 2002-2003 budget and increased tbe water and sewer system <br />connection fees. The f~s are in effect for all system connection applications and are <br />available on the City of Concord website. Please be aware that thc City of Concord <br />requires that system connection fee be paid at time of final plat .nr~ the amount of the fee <br />is subjeot to change. Please be aware that there ar~ WSACC and Caharrus County fees <br />that arc separate from City of Concord system connection fee.
