Meeting Date 6/15/04 <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments - Criminal Justice Partnership Program Advisory Board <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />The terms of appointment ended April 30 for the following members: Ronda Powell <br />(Probation/Parole); Wesley Seamon (Juvenile Court Counselor - served since 1998); <br />William M. Adams and Anna Hood (At Large); Greg Faggart (Business Community); James <br />D. Foster (Victim of Crime - previously served 3 years in Attorney position); and Judge <br />Donna Johnson (District Court Judge). Also, Andrew P. Clement (Criminal Defense <br />Attorney) and Dorsey Ward (Mental Health) have resigned and Charles O. Hill (Mental <br />Health) no longer participates on the Board. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Reappoint the following members for 3-year terms: Ronda Powell; Wesley Seamon; Anna <br />Hood; and James D. Foster. Appoint Marcus Smith (Business Community); Ben Small <br />(Defense Attorney Position); and Robert Davis (vacant position for Community Based <br />Corrections). Following positions to remain open at this time: Mental Health (2); At-large <br />(1); and District Court Judge (1).
