This is Exhibit A to Amendment Number 1, dated June 14, 2004. <br /> <br />The Consultant shall perform the following Additional Services: <br /> <br />Task 1 - Background Data Collection <br /> <br />The original scope assumed that peak-hour turning movement counts would be available from the City of <br />Concord or the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). However, because the counts are <br />not available, the Consultant will perform one AM (7-9) and one PM (4-6) peak-hour turning movement <br />count at the intersection of Cabarms Avenue and Union Cemetery Road <br /> <br />The original scope included two off-site intersections for analysis, Cabarms Avenue at Union Cemetery <br />Road and Cabarrus Avenue at US 601. However, study of the intersection of Union Cemetery and Old <br />Charlotte Road is now being required. We will perform one AM (7-9) and one PM (4-6) peak-hour <br />turning-movement count at the intersection of Union Cemetery Road and Old Charlotte Road. <br /> <br />Task 2 - Capacity Analysis <br /> <br />A detailed traffic engineering capacity analysis for the intersection of Union Cemetery Road and Old <br />Charlotte Road will be included in the Traffic Impact Study Report under existing conditions, future <br />background conditions, and future build-out conditions. <br /> <br />Consultant and Client agree to the following general schedule in connection with the Additional Services <br />set forth above: <br /> <br />· We will provide our services as expeditiously as practicable to meet a mutually agreed-upon schedule. <br /> <br />For the Additional Services set forth above, Client shall pay Consultant the following additional <br />compensation: <br /> <br />· KHA will perform the services described above in Task 1 for a lump sum fee of $475. <br />· KHA will perform the services described above in Task 2 for a lump sum fee of $1,500. <br /> <br />All permitting, application, and similar project fees will be paid directly by the Client. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
