Cabarrus County <br /> Jail and Courthouse <br /> Contract Amendment #1 <br />Phase II- Law Enforcement Center <br />July 14, 2004 <br /> <br /> Exl ,,b,~ <br />On-Site Representation <br /> <br />Upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed to the Contractor the Construction Phase will <br />begin. A Representative of the Architect shall located on-site to supplement the Basic <br />Services of the Architect for the duration of the 24-month Construction Phase. It is also <br />proposed that this representative remain on site for one month beyond Substantial <br />Completion to facilitate Project Close Out and installation of furnishings and equipment. <br />The tasks associated with this service are as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Construction Observation <br /> · Perform daily observation of work in progress <br /> · Document daily observations <br /> 2. Photo/Video Documentation <br /> · Documentation of construction progress <br /> · Documentation of compliance with Contract Documents <br /> 3. Site Meetings <br /> · Attend weekly Contractor-Subcontractor meetings <br /> · Attend monthly Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings. <br />4. Request for Information (RFI) Review <br /> · Receive and log RFI's <br /> · Coordinate with members of the design team <br /> · Facilitate responses to the Contractor's RFi's <br /> 5. Submittal Review <br /> · Receive and log Contractors' submittals <br /> · Perform initial review of submittals, forward to design team for technical review <br /> · Monitor status of submittals <br />6. Construction Schedule Review <br /> · Monitor Contractor's schedule and compare it with the progress of the work <br />7. Change Proposal Request (PR) Review <br /> ·Receive and log PR's <br /> · Facilitate review by design team <br />8. Certification of Contractor's Application for Payment <br /> ·Review back-up material submitted by Contractor <br /> · Provide preliminary recommendations for any adjustments <br /> · Forward to Architect for certification <br />9. Monitor Contractor's Quality Assurance Program <br /> · Observe, evaluate and document the Contractors' compliance with their own <br /> Quality Assurance program <br /> <br />Ware Bonsall Architects, PLLC <br /> <br /> <br />
