Meeting Date 8/16/04 <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item # <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Request for Funds from Cabarrus County Board of Education for the reconstruction of the <br />Northwest Cabarrus High School Gym and two classrooms <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />A request has been received for $150,000 in aid to reconstruct the gym and 2 attached <br />classrooms which burned last year. The insurance settlement did not provide enough <br />funds to rebuild an equivalent structure. The County has funds available in the COPS II <br />issue which can provide the $150,000 for this request.
