Box 707 Concord, NC 28026-0707 Dear Chairman Freeman; Please be advised that the terms of two members of the the Cabarrus County Board of Library Trustees, Barbara F. Viehmann and Paula Hinsdale have expired. Under the Library Merger agreement of 1998, the chair occupied by Mrs. Hinsdale is appointed to the Board of Trustees by the City of Concord. During her term, Mrs. Hinsdale's family moved out of the city limits and into the unincorporated area of the county. Consequently Mrs. Hinsdale resigned from the Board in the fall of 2003. In November, 2003, Mrs. Carol Gilbert, a teacher and resident of Concord, was appointed by the City to complete the term of Mrs. Hinsdale. Mrs. Gilbert has expressed a desire to be reappointed by the City and I will advise the City of her expression of interest. Should the City choose to appoint someone other than Mrs. Gilbert, I will advise Mrs. Susie Bonds of that action. Mrs. Viehmann has served one full term on this board and she has indicated that she wishes to be considered for reappointment. Mrs. Viehmann has been an enthusiastic and faithful member of the board. As a Library Trustee, she lives in and represents the area of southern Cabarrus County. I believe that both the Library and the area would be well served by her continued presence on this board. Therefore, on behalf of the Library Board of Trustees, I respectfully submit her name to the Board of Commissioners for consideration for appointment to a second term..
