<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 9/20/04 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # ~ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Ambulance Receivable write-off <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Article 9A (44-51.4) provides for the County to treat the amount due for ambulance <br />services the same as if it were a tax due to the county (G.S. 105-368). Current practice is <br />to keep three years of receivables plus the current year's receivables on the General <br />Ledger. This policy will allow the outstanding receivable balance of $327,919.07 for <br />Fiscal Year 2001 bills to be written off.
