<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item # G...' <br /> <br />Meeting Date 10/18/04 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />FY 2004 Local Law Enforcement Block Grant (2004-LB-BX-1147) - Public Hearing <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />The county has been awarded a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant (LLEBG). Grant <br />funds will be used to enhance the Sheriff's Training Facility/Firing Range and will include <br />automatic pop-up or turning targets and a range tower. A 10% match is required and will <br />come from the Special Revenue Fund for Federal Forfeiture Sharing. This will improve skill <br />level/reaction time in a combat situation.
