SHERRI BARNHARDT
PURCHASING AGENT

MEMORANDUM

TO:

Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners

FROM:

Sherri Barnhardt, CLGPO, CPPB
Purchasing Agent/Contract Administrator

DATE:

October 7, 2004

RE:

Quarterly Report - Bank of America Procurement Cards

It is my pleasure to report for the quarter ending September 30, 2004 that
the Bank of America Procurement Card program has successfully been
implemented. Our first full month of use was during August 2004. Our
purchases were virtually seamless with a variety of uses by several
departments (Le., County Executive Staff, General Services and Public
Information) We have currently received two (2) full months' billing; and
have successfully accomplished payment through Electronic Funds
Transfer. Using departments have been extremely cooperative in
retaining proper receipts and coding for correct payment. Our customer
service and support from Bank of America has been nothing less than
superb.

I believe we have begun in a very positive manner and look forward to
the expansion and continuation of this Procurement Card program. If you
have further questions, please contact me at 704-920-2884.

I-l
