Industry leaders in North Carolina have requested support for <br />Option 2 of the proposed amendments to those rules as the most effective and <br />fair to business and industry. North Carolina has been a leader in air <br />quality protectiQn through the Clean Smokestacks Act and 'these proposed <br />amendments will not impact the protection of that Act. <br /> <br />UPON MOTIO~ of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board voted to support Option 2 of the proposed <br />amendments to th.
