<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item # <br /> <br />r- -'7 <br /> <br />Meeting Date 11/15/04 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />North Carolina Homeland Security Grant for First Responder agencies <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Cabarrus County has been awarded a North Carolina Homeland Security Grant in the <br />amount of $261,500 for First Responder agencies. These funds will purchase equipment <br />for use in response to terrorist or Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) incidents. This <br />grant has been designated for communications related equipment.
