<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 12/20/04 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # r= - / I <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Fire District Sales Tax Distribution <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />A portion of the sales tax revenues received by the county is remitted to the fire districts on <br />a monthly basis. The sales tax revenue collected for June, 2004 was received on August <br />15th. The receipt of this revenue was recorded in FY2004, however, the disbursements of <br />these taxes were not made until FY 2005. A fund balance appropriation is necessary to <br />reflect this transaction.
