~EREAS, the special commissioner for Meckler~burg County and the <br />special cowmiss~oner for cabarrus County have now agreed upon a survey <br />showing an acceptable boundary between the two counties, a copy of a map <br />sPowlpg the surveyed boundary being attached as Exhibit B and incorporated <br />hereof by reference ('Map"), and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County has <br />agreed that :he boundary between Mecklenburg County and Cabarrus CouPty shall <br />be as sho~rn on the Map~ now, therefore, be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners does hereby <br />ratify the survey of the boundary between Meoklerburg County and Cabarrus <br />County as show~ on the Map a:tached as Exhihlt A, and he it further <br /> <br /> RESOLVED that once the Map has beer ra=ified by the Board of <br />Commlss[oners of Cabarrus County, the date of each resolution of ratificatzon <br />and the page in ~he minutes of each Board of Commissioners where the <br />resolution shall be found shall be placed on the Map before recordation, and <br />be it further <br /> <br /> HBSOLVRD that once the Map has been ratified by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Mecklenburg County, that Jonathan Marshall, speclal <br />commissioner under ~ S 153A-18. shall cause the Map showing the n~wly agreed <br />upon boundaly to be recorded in the Office Of the Register of Deeds of <br />Cabarrus County in the manner required by law for the recordatlon of maps or <br />plats ard to work with tbs special commissioner for Mecklenburg County to <br />cause a copy of tPe Map to be recorded in the O~fice of the Reglster of Deeds <br />of Mecklenburg County, and be it further <br /> <br /> RESOLVED ~ha~ Jonathan Marshall is directed to cause a copy of the Map <br />to be recorded in the Secretary of B~ate's Office, and be it further <br /> <br /> RESOLVED that the new boundary between Mecklenburg County and Cabarrus <br />County is to become effective January 1, 2003, and be ~ further <br /> <br /> RESOLVED that Jonathan Marshall is d~rected to report back to the Board <br />of County Commissioners once all o~ said actions have been take~ <br /> <br />ATTEST <br />/s/ Frankie F Bonds <br /> <br />Frankle F Bonds <br />Clerk to the Board <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />/s/ Robert M Freeman <br /> <br />Robert M Freeman, Chairman <br />Cabarrus County Board of Co~1Ssloners <br /> <br />Being the revised portion of the d!vzsion line between Cabarrus County and <br /> <br /> <br />
