I .BARRUS coumYI <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR <br />SPECIALIZED CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> <br />February 5, 2003 <br /> <br />In May 2002, Cabarrus County completed its Jail Facilities Study. The study provided <br />information regarding programming and average daily population projections for the Cabarrus <br />County Jail through the year 2020. Since completion of this study, both the County and jail <br />populations have increased such that the aggressive population projections outlined in the <br />study a reality. As such, Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners has requested <br />qualifications of companies to prepare a report to expound upon the initial study. <br /> <br />This has led Cabarrus County to search for applicants to submit their qualifications to the <br />County for jail facility programming over a period of forty to fifty years, as well as a court <br />facilities program for the same duration. Additionally, the County is seeking architectural <br />qualifications for design of both facilities and for assistance with site selection. <br /> <br />Please include with each qualification submittal, a brief summary of projects completed of a <br />similar nature. All submittals should be sent to the attention of Janet Slack at the address <br />listed below. The deadline for applications is February 26, 2003 at 5:00 PM. Qualified <br />applicants will be notified following the review of submissions and an interview will be <br />scheduled. At the time of the appointment, a more detailed project scope will be distributed <br />to the interviewees.
