Little, Director <br />Cabarrus County Park and Recreation Department <br /> <br />Subject: <br /> <br />Professional Fee Proposal (Amendment) for Design of School/Park <br />Facilities at the New Kannapolis Middle School. <br /> <br /> On January 6 and 7, 2003, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />approved school/park facilities at the new Kannapolis Middle School site. <br />According to Finance Director Pam Dubois, Cabarrus County will advance fund <br />the cost and be reimbursed at the time the Certificates of Participation are sold. <br /> <br /> On Thursday, February 20, 2003, the Cabarrus County Schools <br />Construction Manager, Mr. Joe Sides, submitted the attached professional fee <br />proposal for design services of school/park facilities at the new Kannapolis <br />Middle School site. The attached recommended contract proposal is from Orkan <br />Architecture Professional Association for a total of $44,000. In February, the <br />Kannapolis Board of Education will review and consider the proposal. The <br />Kannapolis Board of Education recommendation will be forwarded to the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br /> If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
