Mr. Day will complete an unexpired term <br />ending April 30, 2005. <br /> <br />(G-2) Comprehensive Economic Development Stratec~, (CEDS) Committee <br />Officio Member <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of CommissIoner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Suggs <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed John Day, Interim County <br />Manager, as a non-voting ex officio member on the Comprehensive Economic <br />Development Strategy Committee. <br /> <br />(0-3) Planning and Zonin~ Commission <br /> <br /> The terms of appointment end on January 31 for the following members of <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission: Dewey Moose - Township 2 (served since <br />1995); Carl Hill - At Large (completing first term of appointment, Clyde M. <br />Drye, Jr. - Townships 5/6/? (served since 1994 - slx years as a regular <br />member, three years as an alternate); and Edward S. Moose - Alternate (served <br />three years as a regular member and nine years as an alternate member). In <br />addition, John Edward Littlefield (Alternate) has been appointed to the <br />Tourism Authority and Thomas B. Dwiggins (At-large) passed away on January 8. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Leonard M. ~Lanny" <br />Lancaster (Alternate Member) to the Township 2 position on the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission for a term of three years ending January 31, 2006. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner <br />Privette and unanImously carried, the Board appointed Jennifer Tucker as an <br />Alternate Member on the Planning and Zoning Commission for a term of three <br />years ending January 31, 2006. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commlssioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Suggs <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Ric Starnes as an At-Large <br />member to fill the vacancy created by the recent death of Thomas Dwiggins. <br />Mr. Starnes will complete an unexpired term ending January 31, 2005. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Edward S. Moose <br />(Alternate Member) to the Township 5/6/7 position on the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission for a term of three years ending January 31, 2006. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Carl Hill as an At- <br />Large member on the Planning and Zoning Commission for a term of three years <br />ending January 31, 2006. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board appointed A. Eugene Divine as an <br />Alternate Member on the Planning and Zoning Commission to complete an <br />unexpired term ending January 31, 2005. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jori Finger, Jr. advised the Board of his interest in appointment to <br />the Planning and Zonxng Commission. However, he had not submitted an <br />application for appointment. <br /> <br /> By consensus, the Board deferred the appointment to the remainxng <br />Alternate position until the next meeting. <br /> <br />(G-4) Nursin~ Home Comaaunity Advisor}, Committee <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Chairman Freeman and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Dale Blackmon and John K. Edmond, <br />Sr. to the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee for terms of three years <br />ending January 31, 2006. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Suggs, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appomnted Ben Phillmps to the Nurslng Home <br />Community Advisory Committee for an initial term of one year ending January <br />31, 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />
