Mr. Day will complete an unexpired term ending April 30, 2005. (G-2) Comprehensive Economic Development Stratec~, (CEDS) Committee Officio Member UPON MOTION of CommissIoner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Suggs and unanimously carried, the Board appointed John Day, Interim County Manager, as a non-voting ex officio member on the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Committee. (0-3) Planning and Zonin~ Commission The terms of appointment end on January 31 for the following members of the Planning and Zoning Commission: Dewey Moose - Township 2 (served since 1995); Carl Hill - At Large (completing first term of appointment, Clyde M. Drye, Jr. - Townships 5/6/? (served since 1994 - slx years as a regular member, three years as an alternate); and Edward S. Moose - Alternate (served three years as a regular member and nine years as an alternate member). In addition, John Edward Littlefield (Alternate) has been appointed to the Tourism Authority and Thomas B. Dwiggins (At-large) passed away on January 8. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Leonard M. ~Lanny" Lancaster (Alternate Member) to the Township 2 position on the Planning and Zoning Commission for a term of three years ending January 31, 2006. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Privette and unanImously carried, the Board appointed Jennifer Tucker as an Alternate Member on the Planning and Zoning Commission for a term of three years ending January 31, 2006. UPON MOTION of Commlssioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Suggs and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Ric Starnes as an At-Large member to fill the vacancy created by the recent death of Thomas Dwiggins. Mr. Starnes will complete an unexpired term ending January 31, 2005. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Edward S. Moose (Alternate Member) to the Township 5/6/7 position on the Planning and Zoning Commission for a term of three years ending January 31, 2006. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Carl Hill as an At- Large member on the Planning and Zoning Commission for a term of three years ending January 31, 2006. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board appointed A. Eugene Divine as an Alternate Member on the Planning and Zoning Commission to complete an unexpired term ending January 31, 2005. Mr. Jori Finger, Jr. advised the Board of his interest in appointment to the Planning and Zonxng Commission. However, he had not submitted an application for appointment. By consensus, the Board deferred the appointment to the remainxng Alternate position until the next meeting. (G-4) Nursin~ Home Comaaunity Advisor}, Committee UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Chairman Freeman and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Dale Blackmon and John K. Edmond, Sr. to the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee for terms of three years ending January 31, 2006. UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Suggs, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board appomnted Ben Phillmps to the Nurslng Home Community Advisory Committee for an initial term of one year ending January 31, 2004.
