IIFFORMAL PUBLIC COM/4~NTS <br /> <br /> There was no one present to address the Board during Informal Public <br />Comments. <br /> <br />(I) COMMISSIO~RS DISCUSSION & RESPONSE TO I~OR/4ItL PIrBLIC CO~S <br /> <br />There was no discussion by Board members. <br /> <br />(J) P~EPORTS <br /> <br /> The Board received the following Reports as a part of the Agenda: (1) <br />Current Emplo~nnent Security Commission (ESC) Workforce Information; (2) <br />Piedmont Behavioral Healthcare Quarterly Report; (3) Consumer Price Index <br />Ad]ustment of 2.1 Percent to BFI Rates in accordance with the Garbage and <br />Disposal Franchise Agreement with Cabarrus County; and (4) Vacant Position <br />Status Report (effective 1/1/03). <br /> <br /> Mr. Day announced that the meeting to discuss the proposed Eastern Area <br />Land Use Plan would be held at the Mt. Pleasant High School Cafeteria on <br />February 10, 2003, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting had originally been scheduled <br />for 6:00 p m. <br /> <br />(K) CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Chairman Freeman and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Closed Session to consult <br />with the County Attorney regarding pending or threatened litigation as <br />authorized by North Carolina General Statute 143-318.11(a) (3). <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Suggs, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board voted to come out of the Closed Session. <br /> <br />No action was reported from the Closed Session. <br /> <br />(L) RECESS OF MEETING <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Freeman recessed the meeting at 12:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />February 3, 2003, in Gold Hall II at the Cabarrus County Arena and Events <br />Center. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
