Descr <br /> coord <br /> wide <br /> proces <br /> <br />agement <br />~tion: The case manager or social worker is the primary <br />~ator of all services provided to the recipient. They must have a <br />aowledge of community partners. From the beginning of the <br />;, the case manager works with the recipient to move them <br /> <br />towan <br />mana. <br />couns <br />helpin <br />recipie <br />requin <br /> <br />independence, when at all possible. The work of the case <br />,~r consists of arranging for services, coordinating these services, <br />ling, training in job readiness, assisting in crisis situations, and <br />l with financial and time management. In areas where a <br />at has been sanctioned due to non-compliance with Work First <br />ments, the social worker will maintain contact for three months <br /> <br /> to ensue that the children in the home are not being deprived. <br />b. Provi41on: The Work First Employment Social Worker will be the <br /> case n'~anager of the case, and will be the primary provider of the <br /> above [upportive services. <br />c. Locafibn: Most services under case management will take place in <br /> one o ~f~two places, DSS or the recipients' homes. In some instance, it is <br /> concei[able that it may occur in school or the workplace. <br /> <br /> ! <br />Child Ca~ <br />a. Descr~tion: Childcare will be available as funding permits for all <br /> employed Work First recipients. If needed, Block Grant funding can <br /> be use~[ to purchase this service. <br />b. Provi4on: Child care assistance will be managed by staffofthe Day <br /> Care U~it at the Department of Social Services. They will receive a <br /> referrat from the Work First Social Worker, and take and process the <br /> applic~ion for childcare, giving the recipient counseling and the <br /> choice~f providers for the care. <br />c. LocatiOn: Child care assistance will be located at DSS. <br /> <br />Work-Related Expenses and Participation Expenses <br />a. De.sc.ri~tion: Work-related and participation expenses for Work First <br /> recipient, ts are costs that can be incurred and are directly related to <br /> obtaining and maintaining a job, as determined by the Social Worker. <br /> These ~xpenses can consist of: clothing for work and interviews, tools, <br /> unifom[s, cai- repairs, car insurance, tires. It is understood that these <br /> are on~time expenses, and should not be provided if, by the social <br /> worker!s determination, that this will be ongoing, and will be needed <br /> on a re~tular basis to maintain employment.
