Earley was a native of Cabarrus County and his <br />parents still reside here; and <br /> <br /> 9rA~REAS, J~shua B. Barley was a firefigh:er for both the City of <br />Charlo:te and :~e Harrisburg Fire Departments and was critically injured <br />fighting a house}fire on March 4, 2002 and succumbed :o those injuries on <br />March 6, 2002; an~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners honored the memory <br />of Joshua B. BarLey in a Resolution passed on April 14,2002, a copy of which <br />is hereto at:ached; and <br /> <br /> WHEP~T~%S, t~e Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners wish to further <br />honor the memory! of Joshua B. Barley and all fire fighters and emergency <br />services personnel who risk their lives in the performance of their duties. <br /> <br /> NOW, THBRE~ORB, B~ IT RBSO~.V~D, that the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners req~_est that the North Carolina Board of Transportation approve <br />the memorial nam~ "Joshua B. Barley Memorial Highway" for :ha: sec:ion of <br />N.C.
